Dear Ms.
Thank you for contacting me regarding the abuse of human rights in China.

I am very concerned about the crackdown on practitioners of Falun Gong. The arbitrary arrest and human rights abuses perpetuated by Chinese President Jiang Zemin is disconcerting. The peaceful meditation and exercise of Falun Gong should not be suppressed if China wants to become a part of World Trade Organization (WTO).

Please be assured that I will keep your thoughts in mind as Congress detates human rights issues and the situation of the Falun Gong in China.

Again, thank you for contacting me. Please do not hesitate to contact my office again with further questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Jim Saxton
Member of Congress
